Spawning Season of Adult SAILFIN SCULPINS: Spawning is from November to April (fall to spring).

Characteristics of Eggs: Eggs are demersal, adhesive with yellow yolk and 2-2.5 mm in diameter.

Early Movements of SAILFIN SCULPIN Babies: Apparently these babies hatch in shallow water (less than 30 m) and are carried out to deeper water with currents or they swim out. Baby SAILFIN SCULPINS were captured in small numbers (< 5 individuals per 10 min. tow) in Trevor Channel east of the Deer Island Group and next to Tzartus Island (Ref. 18).
