occurs from January to April.

are adhesive and demersal. They are usually found
in protected or sheltered bays.
Characteristics

eggs are demersal, no oil globules, 0.8 - 1.05 mm
in diameter.
Size

Baby ENGLISH SOLE hatch at 2.3 - 2.8 mm in length.
Early Movements of ENGLISH SOLE Babies: Baby
English soles hatch and probably move from the shallow
bottoms singly but detailed observations are lacking.
Baby and juvenile English sole were widespread and
captured in numbers from 1 to 9 individuals in 10 min.
